50/50 odds on Biological WMD before 2013
Not sure why they play coy by using the date 2013 instead of 2012 since it's close enough to still play on people's fears of the Mayan calendar "predicting" the end/beginning of the world.
At any rate. There is apparently a 50-50 chance for some nasty bio disease (or regular nuke of course, but bio is more likely according the article) exploding into the general populace within the next 5 years? That's pretty fucked up.
"The consequences of a biological attack are almost beyond comprehension. It would be 9/11 times 10 or a hundred in terms of the number of people who would be killed," former Sen. Bob Graham said.
All I can say is that your focus determines your reality.
Therefore, don't war, make love, make love hard, now...as much as possible...always and with as many people as possible at once or alone at your own pleasure, your own sensuous discretion.

Fear seems at the same time to be everyone's sort of enemy, and yet, our own news/periodical print specialists, seem to use it liberally as a selling point through their sensationalist regime. Give a guy an AK and tell him to yell about gods above and he's a terrorist .. stick a news camera in front of the same guy, with no AK, and he's a reporter/evangelist even if it's still about religion. A perfect example of the ways this gets by us all as pertains to simple politics instead of religion, but certainly from that corner of things, take for example how Putin/Gorbachev are treated. No, Putin is not our best friend ever and no he's by no means a saint. But, both him and Gorbachev have been called 'the red horseman' by the likes of 700 club.
Most don't bat an eyelash and swallow that propaganda, without ever looking into WHY Putin is a bit scary. But then, at the beginnings of the Bush W. administration, we had a CIA director who was ex-KGB. No lashes .. no bats. As always however, my heart goes out to all of those who were/are former USSR, whether they're Ukrainian or Russian. But, I still think it stands to reason that their military and special police, were some of the best trained in the world. Once upon a time, these individuals were our greatest source of fear. If you've ever seen them train, you'll understand why .. numbers game not withstanding. In the eighties, many of us, can only now remember - TV series after TV series about nuclear war, with Russia/USSR. Trauma, so terrible, it nearly replaces things like David Bowie and talking heads. Can you believe it?
So why then, would fear, seem so presentably nonchalant now? I can only wonder. Remember, some of us believe, our enemies, are who make us who we are. Antiquated a philosophy or no, those thoughts are often present in everyone.
