Flickr sucks ass
Just a little tip from someone who was with them for almost 2 years. DON'T TRUST THEM. They will delete your photo account with no explanation if *anyone* says you violated their guidelines...whether you do or not.
I was well within their Terms of Service, and out of nowhere 2 years later they just remove my PAID account without so much as a warning message. They won't respond to your email messages with anything but a form-fed reply as well. (They still don't tell me which rule I supposedly broke.)
Personally I'm not surprised. I've heard all the Flickr horror stories for a long time, but here is another record for the search engines on how Flickr will delete your photos for no reason. What a joke. You pay them and they treat you as if you were using some free service like YouTube or MySpace.
xoxo,
Iza

Geez, seems like you have been going through a "kak" time, as we say where I'm from. Well screw flicker then I say.

THEY ARE FIRED!! Clearly, you are/were the hottest person on Flickr & the rest were feeling threatened and jealous in an uncute, unsatanic way! I know I certainly haven't lusted enough over all your beautiful pictures. In all actuality, I didn't ever see anything that seemed 'wrong' per se. Although, more than a few photos had me imagining a number of various Earthshaking violations in my own sick little head .. but it was prompted out of their provocative nature and I'm not talking TOS either. In all seriousness though, everything was tasteful. I know that I have really enjoyed being able to see all the pretty pictures! Thank you so much for all of that beautiful stuff, it will be missed. Although, I don't think it's fair to you, such an avid user of their service, to just have a huge collection like that censored - that's enough to make me hate America - more than I do. :O)

I just deleted my account with Flickr because they censored my protest-art (you can see it on my blog at Over 40 and Feeling Fine). They claimed I was harassing and abusing other members by having it posted.
My protest-art has the words “Summertownsun sucks”. I put this artwork up in protest of Summertownsun complaining that i was infringing on their copyrighted work. They said I was posting images that they own. So flickr removed the images. But the images are actually in the public domain. So I protested Summertownsun’s actions by creating a piece of artwork and posting it on Flickr.
Then Flickr, in all its controlling, tightwad glory, removed that image too, and sent me an email which said, ”
Hi dazzlecat, In joining Flickr, you agreed to abide by the Terms of Service and Community Guidelines. Specifically, you must not abuse, harass, threaten, impersonate or intimidate other Flickr member. . We’ve removed the content, “SummertownSun Publishing Sucks!”, from your photostream. Please note that similar activity may result in the termination of your account without warning. Regards, Omar ”
The simple fact is that Flickr censored my artwork!!!
So I decided I didn’t want to be a part of a system that censors artwork because someone else whines about it. I sent out an email to all my contacts on Flickr letting them know I was deleting my account and why. Now I’m going to have to make another piece of protest-art called Flickr Sucks!
